The Business Careers fair is a great opportunity to meet local and national employers such as Volvo, Lidl and Worcester BOSCH, who will be showcasing a range of graduate jobs, internships and other opportunities for you to apply for. Come along to find out what these organisations have to offer you. Your attendance can count towards the Worcester Award!

This drop-in event will run between 11.30am and 3pm at the award-winning University Arena in Worcester.

The careers fair is a great opportunity for you to market yourself to potential employers and gain some useful insights into what makes a good application or interview as well as the chance for you to practice your networking skills!

Careers Workshop: How to Stand Out at a Careers Fair

It can be feel quite daunting walk into a large room and talk to lots of employers at a careers fair. This workshop will help you to prepare for a careers fair and feel more confident to approach employers to talk to them about career opportunities.

FAQs

Who is it for? The fair is for Computing, Business, Education and Humanities students from any year group.

What sort of roles will be available? Placements, internships and graduate roles, as well as some part-time and casual work opportunities.

Which employers are attending? At the moment we can confirm that Volvo, Enterprise Holdings, Sanctuary Group, Worcester BOSCH, RAF, Montel Group, Hewett Recruitment, Lidl, Reed Global and Worcester Warriors are amongst the confirmed employers attending. For the full list, an event brochure will be circulated a week before the event.

Do I need to come along for the whole time? No, the fair is a drop-in event and it's up to you how long you stay. You can arrive anytime between 11:30-3pm and stay for as long as you like

Can I park? The arena has a large pay & display car park on site (£3.50 per day)

What is the dress code? You don't have to wear a suit if you don't want to, but this is your opportunity to make a really good first impression so do aim to look smart and presentable.

Do I need to bring my CV? Yes absolutely, bring along several copies of your most up-to-date CV.

I'm a bit nervous about meeting employers - how can I prepare? Check out who is attending the fair by downloading and reading the fair booklet (it will be available and circulated to everyone by email the week before the fair). The booklet will contain tips and hints on how best to prepare. Read the biog for each organisation and the opportunities available. If you're interested in an organisation then check out their website and find out a bit more about them - this will help you when you visit their stand!
